Plates on your Apple Watch

Leave your phone in your bag. The Plates Apple Watch app runs your session from your wrist: see the current exercise, log and edit sets, and follow your rest timer without breaking your rhythm.

What the watch does

See your workout

Current exercise, target weight and reps, set number, and how far through the session you are.

Log sets from your wrist

Mark sets complete, undo a set, and adjust weight or reps directly on the watch. It syncs with your phone.

Rest timer on your wrist

The rest countdown runs on the watch with skip and extend controls, so you can rest anywhere in the gym.

Start a workout

Kick off a session from a recent template right from the watch when your phone isn't handy.

Right there in the Smart Stack

While a workout is active, Plates surfaces on the Apple Watch Smart Stack (watchOS 11 and later). Raise your wrist between sets and your current set, rest timer, and progress are already there, no tapping through apps.

Built to stay alive during long sessions

The watch app uses a proper workout session under the hood, so it keeps running in the background through a long training day instead of getting suspended. Your set logging and timer stay live from the first warmup to the last set.

Works with the rest of the Apple ecosystem

The watch app pairs naturally with the rest of Plates on iOS: interval and rest timers also appear on the Dynamic Island and lock screen, and completed workouts and body weight sync to Apple Health. Everything you log, on the watch or the phone, stays in sync.

Try Plates free

The Apple Watch app is included free with Plates on iOS. No Pro required.
