By downloading, installing, or using Plates ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. In these terms, "Plates," "we," "our," and "us" refer to the developer of the Plates app.
Plates is a fitness tracking application that allows you to:
On iOS and Android you may use the App without an account (data stored locally on your device) or create an account to sync data across devices. New accounts are created in the iOS or Android app; the web app at myplates.app supports signing in to an existing account only. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
The App is free to download and use. Plates Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional features.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the App, and at least 18 years old to purchase a subscription. By using the App you represent that you meet these requirements.
The App is for informational and tracking purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
Before starting any exercise program, consult with a qualified healthcare provider. If you experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention.
You acknowledge that physical exercise carries inherent risks. You assume full responsibility for any injuries or health issues that may result from your use of the App or following any workout routines.
The App, including its design, features, content, and code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our permission.
You retain ownership of the workout data you create. By using the App, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your data to provide the service.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these terms.
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply. Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer. Your use of the App is also subject to the App Store or Google Play terms under which you obtained it.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
