Feature
Enter a target weight, see exactly which plates to load on each side. Configurable per gym with your actual plate inventory, bar weight, and collar options. Never do mental math between sets again.
Bar (45) + 2 x 45 x 2 sides = 225 lbs exact
Bar (45) + (45 + 25) x 2 sides = 185 lbs exact
Bar (45) + (45 + 5 + 2.5) x 2 sides = 150 lbs (closest possible)
Different gyms have different equipment. Plates lets you configure plate inventory for each gym profile:
Standard 45 lb / 20 kg Olympic bar, or set a custom weight for specialty bars (trap bar, EZ curl, safety squat).
Set which plates your gym has and how many of each. Limited plates? The calculator respects quantity limits.
Include or exclude collar clips (typically 5 lbs / 2.5 kg total) in the calculation.
Pounds or kilograms. Default plate sets differ: lbs uses 45/35/25/10/5/2.5, kg uses 25/20/15/10/5/2.5/1.25.
Pounds: 45, 35, 25, 10, 5, 2.5 lb plates
Kilograms: 25, 20, 15, 10, 5, 2.5, 1.25 kg plates
Add or remove plate sizes to match your gym. Some gyms have 100 lb plates, some skip the 35s, some have micro plates (1.25 lb). Configure it once and the calculator always gives you loadable answers.
When the adaptive engine suggests a weight increase, it uses your gym's plate configuration to ensure the suggestion is achievable. You'll never see "add 137.5 lbs" on a standard gym. The plate calculator and suggestion engine share the same configuration.
Home gym with a full rack? Commercial gym with limited equipment? Travel gym with just dumbbells? Create a profile for each. The active gym's plate configuration is used for all calculations and suggestions during your workout.
